10 APPS THAT RUN MY BUSINESS

If you are starting or growing you side business to a full time income while working a 9-5, your time is limited and productivity is critical in determining how long that process will take you.

Today, I want to share with you how 10 apps that I can access on both computer apps and mobile, have increased productivity in my business.

For a brief backstory, I run a 12 week business bootcamp helping women scale their service-based side business to a full time income so that they can confidently quit their 9-5 in 90 days.

To do that, I rely heavily on my computer and phone to communicate with my clients and my team as well as create content to help me expand my business.

My business processes are intentional and simplified so that I can be the most productive in a short period of time AND so that I can pick up and work from anywhere I so chose.

Here are the 10 Apps that help me run my small business:

1. Asana

I run my entire business on Asana. Every task, project, goal projections – this replaces my to-do list, my sticky notes, everything and helps me focus on the task at hand and not every single thing that needs to be completed in the future. Asana helps me stay on track of internal operations such as day-to-day tasks, my editorial calendar and client relations.

2. Acuity Scheduling

Acutiy Scheduling is the tool I use to schedule strategy sessions and break through calls. This is also what I use to pre-qualify applicants for the business boot camp.

When someone is interested in working with me, they simply go to my calendar, select a date and time to speak by phone and then are directed to a brief questionnaire that I receive once they are scheduled.

This saves me (and the potential applicant) so much time and helps to attract only those who are ready and interested in the boot camp. I have used other programs like ScheduleOnce and Calendly (still do for podcast interviews) – which I also like however, Acuity is free and does exactly what my business needs it to do.

3. Google Business suite

Google Business Suite is where I access my email, calendar, documents and more. The really great thing about my business operations set up is that my Google Drive integrates with Asana and my scheduling software seamlessly. I do pay $6/mo. for this service.

4. Slack

Slack is where I keep all communications in one place. I have used Asana to work with my team and clients however, when going that route it tends to get a bit disorganized and – I don’t like that. So slack it is.

5. Stripe

I check my money daily – one of the habits I’ve implemented since reading Rachel Rodgers’ book, We Should All Be Millionaires.

Stripe is the online payment processor that I use.

6. YouTube Studio

This year, I am focusing mainly on using YouTube as my main hub for content. So, App #6, is Youtube Studio.

Through YouTube Studio, I am able to check my analytics, respond to comments, and make modifications to my videos as needed.

7. iMovie

I record all of my videos currently from my iPhone and essentially use iMovie app on my phone to edit.

iMovie is a pretty simplified editor and therefore doesn’t have all the fancy features that some content creators use. It works for me where I am right now.

8. Canva

Canva is my go to for designing all visuals for my business. I design thumbnails for my YouTube channel, Her Fearless Hustle the Podcast, my website and basically any image or graphic that I may need using Canva.

9. TubeBuddy

Since getting serious about my YouTube channel, TubeBuddy is my right-hand. This app allows me to brainstorm video ideas, check keywords as well as monitor the optimization of my videos.

10. MatchMaker.Fm

MatchMaker.fm is a fairly new tool to help me find, pitch and secure podcast interviews.

I have a series on how to use podcast guest interviews to grow your business – you can check that out – guest interviewing on podcast is a way to get in front of an already established audience full of your target market.

While I don’t rely solely on MatchMaker.FM, it has created a space to find potential shows who’s audience I could provide value to.

Those are 10 apps I use to stay productive and grow my coaching business.

I do use other applications like Zoom to host weekly coaching sessions, to record podcast interviews; and ActiveCampaign for email marketing; as well as a course platform to host the business bootcamp.
